Meet Dr. Jackson
Dr. Walter Jackson is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his surgical and anesthesia training at the LSU Health Sciences Center (Charity Hospital) and LSU School of Dentistry. Dr. Jackson also earned his MD degree at the LSU College of Medicine here in New Orleans.
As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Jackson performs a wide range of services for his patients, often with sedation for maximal comfort:
- IV Sedation
- Dental Implants
- Bone Grafting
- Wisdom Teeth Extractions
- Diagnosis of Oral Lesions
- Correction of Facial Fractures
Education is very important to Dr. Jackson. To that end, he frequently speaks to dental students at the LSU School of Dentistry. An Eagle Scout, Dr. Jackson knows the importance of giving back. He has donated his services on dental missions to Brazil, Mexico, and Vietnam. After Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Jackson raised over $20,000 for Catholic Charities to assist those left homeless by the storm. He also volunteers his services to underprivileged patients in Metairie through the local chapter of Donated Dental Services (DDS).
Dr. Jackson lives in Metairie with his wife and two daughters.
